'22-'23 Warrior Wrestling Season Begins Soon
Official wrestling season practices for the Lebanon Mat Club begins the week of November 7th at 6PM in the LHS Wrestling Room. Beginners will practice Mondays & Wednesdays (6PM-7PM). Advanced will practice Tuesdays & Thursdays (6PM-7:20PM).

2022 Warrior Wrestling Camp
What: Free Warrior Wrestling Camp
Who: Boys & Girls 5yrs. - 5th grade
Where: Lebanon High School Mat Room*
When: November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 6-7PM
Why: Build confidence, improve health, & learn basic wrestling skills

*Athletic wear (no zippers, buttons, clasps, denim, etc.) and socks are required in the Mat Room.

OSU vs OSU Dual
Who wants tickets for the Oregon State vs. Oklahoma State dual on Sunday, January 8th at noon?!?! These are two of the top 3 winningest dual teams in the history of college wrestling, making this an amazing event to be a part of!

Please let us know how many tickets your family would like to purchase at $6 each ($11 if bought on your own). If our club purchases 110 more tickets, OREGON STATE WILL CONDUCT A FREE WRESTLING CAMP FOR OUR LEBANON WRESTLERS!
​
Also, there will be a function the night before the match and directly after the match to meet wrestlers and coaches from both teams, along with a lot of other famous wrestling alumni from around the nation.
Extended Practice Times
In order to give our wrestlers proper warmup, instruction, and cool-down time, we have extended Monday through Thursday practices.
Monday and Wednesday practice times are now 6:00-7:15PM.
Tuesday and Thursday practice times are now 6:00-7:45PM.
Match Nights

We have two more Match Nights coming in January. The first is Wednesday, January 18th at Cascade High School, in Turner, at 3:45PM. The following Wednesday, January 25th, we will host our own Match Night with Cascade Mat Club at LHS from 5PM to 7PM. At 7PM, our LHS Wrestling team will take on South Albany; Warrior Wrestling families will receive free admission and are encouraged to stay and support the team.

There will be no practice at LHS on either Match Night.
OSU Ticket Handout
​
We have all the tickets we order. If you need to pick yours up, please bring exact cash or a card (debit or credit) to the dual on Sunday. We will be there at 10:30 to hand them out. OSU has sold a TON of tickets, so come early to get good seats!
Lebanon Mat Club Tournament
​
We will be hosting our annual LMC Warrior Wrestling Tournament on January 21, 2023. We are now less than a week away. To create a successful, smoothly running tournament, we need help from each of our families. At least one person from each family needs to sign up to help. Starting Monday, January 2nd, we will have a list of areas and time-slots for people to volunteer in. The sooner you sign up, the better the area and time-slot you will get. To sign up, please call, text, email us, or talk to us at practice. If you are not signed up by January 15th, we will be contacting you to let you know where and when you will be needed.

Team Gear
​
​We would like to apologize for not getting your wrestler's shirt and shorts out in a timely manner. This was not our intention and has been out of our control. We are now going with our "Plan C" and hope to have them out to everyone within the next two weeks. Again, we apologize.

Tuesday, January 17th - Advanced Practice at LHS at 6PM. Picture packets will be handed out.
Wednesday, January 18th - Match Night at Cascade High School at 3:45PM. No practice at LHS.
Thursday, January 19th - Tournament Practice at LHS at 6PM for any of our wrestlers who will be attending our tournament on Saturday. (If you need a singlet, please bring your $100 check deposit this night.) Picture packets will be handed out.
Friday, January 20th - At 5PM we will begin setting up for our tournament. Team pictures at LHS at 6PM. After pictures, we will weigh in everyone at 7PM. While the wrestlers are getting weighed in, we will have a quick mandatory parent meeting about the tournament. After that's done, we will be setting up for our tournament. The more the merrier! And the quicker we can all get home and get some sleep! Please plan to help.

Freestyle & Greco Season FAQs
​
Do I need to pay for another membership? No, your 2022-2023 wrestling membership includes the Freestyle & Greco season.
Do I need a singlet? Yes, two most of the time; one that is a majority red and one that is a majority blue.
Why do I need two singlets? During most crab-pool Freestyle/Greco tournaments, when you get to the mat for your wrestler's match, the referee will let your wrestler know whether they will be wearing their blue singlet or their red singlet.
Why is Freestyle/Greco wrestling important? These styles of wrestling focus on improving particular areas and concepts within wrestling. Focusing on these specific techniques allow for unmatched improvement during the regular collegiate season.
How much commitment does this season require? As always, since wrestling is an individual sport at this level, you and your wrestler's commitment level is completely up to you. There will be less Freestyle/Greco tournaments (see schedule below for currently scheduled tournaments) compared to collegiate, which also means there will also be less practices.
Why is it important to go to the Freestyle/Greco State Championships? State is where your wrestler will have the opportunity to qualify for the Oregon National and/or Oregon Dual team(s). Qualifying for a spot on these teams provides your wrestler with opportunities to represent Oregon by wrestling in other states and at Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a coveted honor to have and is such an amazing experience to go through, both for the wrestlers and their families.
